I agree with Jill, you really need to go with a professional when you have a serious bug problem. They can find where the bugs are getting in and really eliminate the root cause of your bug problem.

From what I understand about bed bugs, you need to look for them at night when they are most active. Get our a magnifying glass and look in the seams really close. That is where they tend to hand out.

Luckily, I have never had an ant problem living in New York. I have a sister that lives in the Texas and she has had some ant problems over the years. In most cases, she found that a bug buy was a must get rid of her ant problems.

If you just have a few bed bugs, then spraying rubbing alcohol works. If more than that, you should hire a professional exterminator to get rid of the bed bugs.

They are attracted to your body temperature and carbon dioxide, just like mosquitoes. Add on top of that a fresh meal of your blood and they are perfectly content living in your bed :)

I live in Florida and the real ant problem here is fire ants. Step in the middle of them and they will attack. It was a real problem for me when I first moved into my new house. My kids could not play in the yard. I tried a lot of the do-it-yourself solutions and they did not really work. Then had a friend recommend a good exterminator and no more fire ants.

I live in New York, and bed bugs have become a real problem. From what I have heard from friends is the rubbing alcohol treatment is good for when you catch it early. When you have a full scale infestation, you have to go with the professional pest control solution.

Wow I never knew that you could get rid of bed bugs with rubbing alcohol. I guess you learn something new everyday. Does anyone know how effective it is?
